What is it?
Inspection Step UI Updates for Platform Users is an enhancement that modernizes the inspection interface for staff by introducing a streamlined layout, improved editing capabilities, and additional inspection details.
This update aligns Inspection Steps with other step types in the system, making them easier to manage while providing more flexibility when scheduling and updating inspections.
How does it work?
This update introduces a redesigned Inspection Step experience for Platform Users with improved structure and functionality.
With this update:
- Inspection Steps are now displayed in a slide-out panel instead of a full-screen view
- A standardized Step Details section provides key information such as assignment, status, and timestamps
- A new Inspection Details section includes:
- Schedule Status (Unscheduled, Unscheduled with Request, Scheduled)
- Inspection date and time
- Contact name and phone number
- Special Instructions (new)
- Platform users can:
- Choose more flexible scheduling options (no time, AM/PM, or specific time)
- Edit inspection details through an updated modal
- View and reference Applicant request details directly
- Update inspection status at any time
- Toggle inspections between complete and incomplete
- If an Applicant has submitted a request:
- Request details are pre-filled for easier scheduling
- Requested values are highlighted for reference
These updates improve clarity, flexibility, and efficiency when managing inspections.
