What is the Inspections Scheduling Request Capacity feature?
Inspection Request Capacity Limits is a feature that allows customers to control how many inspection requests Applicants can submit per day for a specific Inspection Step.
Once a daily request limit is reached, that date will no longer be available for Applicants to select when requesting an inspection.
How does the Inspections Scheduling Request Capacity feature work?
Platform users can configure request limits within the Inspection Step settings when Applicant requests are enabled.
Once enabled:
- Staff can toggle on a request limit and define how many requests are allowed per day (default is 10)
- Limits are set per Inspection Step (e.g., Building Inspection vs. Fire Inspection)
- Applicants will see unavailable dates disabled in the calendar once the daily limit has been reached
- Only active requests count toward the daily limit
- If a date becomes unavailable between selection and submission, Applicants will see an error prompting them to choose another date
Staff are not restricted by these limits and can continue to manage scheduling as needed.
Why did we create this feature?
Agencies often need to manage inspection demand to align with staff capacity and avoid overbooking.
Previously, there was no way to limit how many inspection requests could be submitted per day, which could lead to scheduling bottlenecks and manual rescheduling.
This feature improves operational efficiency by:
- Preventing overbooking of inspection requests
- Helping agencies better manage daily workload and staff capacity
- Providing a smoother scheduling experience for Applicants
- Reducing the need for manual intervention and rescheduling
How do I get access to this feature?
This feature is standard and will be available in the product immediately upon release.
Platform users can enable and configure request limits within each individual Inspection Step’s settings by turning on Applicant Requests and then enabling the Request Capacity option.
Will access to the Organizational Holidays feature cost anything extra?
No, access to the Scheduling Request Capacity Limits feature included with your current subscription. This tool is designed to support both new and existing customers without incurring any additional costs.
