What is the Inspections List View feature?
The Inspections List View is a new top-level Inspections page in the admin portal that gives Platform Users a centralized way to view, manage, and report on all Inspection Steps across the organization.
In addition to the existing calendar-based workflow, this new page introduces a table view with search, filters, saved views, CSV export, and bulk actions so staff can manage inspections more efficiently at scale.
How does the Inspections List View feature work?
Platform Users can access a new Inspections page from the main navigation. This page includes two view options:
- Calendar (default)
- List
The new List view displays all Inspection Steps in a table and allows staff to:
- View inspection details such as submission or case number, inspection type, assignee, inspection date and time, schedule status, and inspection status
- View the new Inspection Completion Time column, which shows how many hours it took for an inspection to move from creation to completion and helps staff report on inspection efficiency
- Search inspections by keyword, including inspection type, primary location, assignee name, and submission or case type
- Filter inspections using a wide range of criteria such as inspection type, assignee, date, status, completion, project, and more
- Customize visible columns
- Save preferred views for repeated use
- Export the current list view to CSV
- Open any inspection directly from the table in the updated slide-out Inspection Step view
The page also supports bulk actions for inspections, including:
- Assigning inspections
- Scheduling inspections
- Completing inspections
- Deleting inspections
Bulk assignment uses the updated assignment suggestions logic to help recommend the best assignee based on availability, workload, and skillset, while still allowing staff to override suggestions as needed.
Why did we update this feature?
Customers need a more efficient way to manage inspections across the organization without having to work one record at a time or rely only on the calendar view.
This enhancement improves inspection management by:
- Providing a dedicated inspections workspace for list-based management and reporting
- Making it easier to find, sort, and filter inspections across the organization
- Supporting bulk actions for common operational tasks like assignment, scheduling, completion, and deletion
- Allowing teams to save customized views based on their workflows
- Improving visibility into scheduling and inspection progress through a more flexible table-based interface
How do I get access to this feature?
This feature is standard and will be available in the product immediately upon release.
The new Inspections page will appear in the admin navigation for organizations with the Inspections feature toggle enabled.
Will access to the inspection list feature cost anything extra?
No, access to the Inspections List View is included with your current subscription. This tool is designed to support both new and existing customers without incurring any additional costs.
