What is the auto-due date feature?
The Auto-Due Date feature allows due dates to be automatically applied to Agency Steps in a workflow. Instead of manually assigning due dates for each submission, the system can set them automatically when a submission moves into a workflow status that contains those steps.
This is especially useful for steps that consistently have deadlines—such as inspections, reviews, or other time-sensitive tasks—ensuring due dates are applied consistently and without manual effort.
How does the auto-due date feature work?
When configuring a workflow in the Workflow Builder, platform users can set an automatic due date for any Agency Step.
- Due date period – Specify a time frame (e.g., 2 weeks, 30 days, 3 months).
- Weekend settings – Choose whether weekends should be included in the calculation.
Once configured:
- When a submission transitions into the status containing that step, the due date is automatically calculated based on the settings.
- Due dates are then available for use with campaigns and notifications, helping staff receive timely reminders.
Applicant Steps are not eligible for auto-due dates, as they typically don’t have agency-driven deadlines.
Why did we create this feature?
Customers requested a way to cut down on repetitive, manual due date entry—especially for high-volume processes like inspections and reviews.
The Auto-Due Date feature was created to:
- Save time by removing the need to manually set due dates on each submission.
- Increase consistency so due dates are applied uniformly across all applicable steps.
- Improve accountability by enabling automated reminders and notifications tied to due dates.
How do I get access to this feature?
The Auto-Due Date feature is part of the enhanced Workflow Builder functionality in Clariti Launch for agency steps.
Will access to the auto-due date feature cost anything extra?
