What is the Project Overview?

The Project Overview gives platform users a centralized view of all submissions within a project—along with the ability to take action across related tasks like reviews and inspections. This helps staff manage more complex projects with greater visibility and efficiency.

How does the Project Overview work?

Once a submission passes both the Survey (submitted) and Fee Survey (payment complete) stages, platform users can access the Advanced Project Overview. This view replaces the standard applicant view and consolidates all related submissions and tasks into a single interface.

From here, platform users can:

• View a list of all project submissions, including submission number, status, type, and location
• Access applicant details and link to their user profile
• Navigate to task-specific tabs like Reviews and Inspections, which organize related steps across submissions
• Take action on individual tasks or use Bulk Actions to manage many at once
   

Available actions include:

Reviews

• Assign Reviews – Update assignments in bulk
• Update Review Status – Change custom step statuses across multiple steps
• Complete Reviews – Mark steps complete
• Delete Reviews – Remove steps (requires appropriate permissions)
   

Inspections

• Assign Inspections – Bulk assign inspectors
• Complete Inspections – Apply a result across inspections
• Delete Inspections – Remove steps (requires appropriate permissions) 

This view makes it easier to manage projects by centralizing key workflows, reducing repetitive navigation, and supporting task management at scale.

Why was this feature created?

Managing related submissions individually can be inefficient. The Advanced Project Overview gives staff a high-level, actionable view of the entire project, streamlining coordination and providing better insight into project health.

How do I access the Project Overview?

To access the Advanced Project Overview:

1. Open any submission
2. Use the Project section in the sidebar to move it into a new or existing project
3. Click View Project to open the overview

No. The Project Overview and its tools are included in your current subscription and are available to all platform users with the necessary permissions.
